On Saturday my wife found our three year old daughter Isabella in the hallway unconcious. She'd somehow tripped over and knocked herself out. She was out for maybe a minute or more and wasn't breathing. We managed to revive her and rushed her to the hospital where she spent the rest of the day having examinations and head scans etc. She's ok now, in fact she was running around the hospital as if nothing had happened. It was my wife and I that needed the medication.

Man, I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life. Still shaking now just thinking about it. Funny, but at the time I was calm and decisive - I guess there was no other choice. Now I'm freaking out. Needed to share.

Here's a pic of Isabella.

Holy smokes! That's aweful. She's a beautiful little girl that is very lucky to have had the two of you around.
Good day to count you blessings and be thankful!
Thanks for sharing. Paul W

Really lets you KNOW what is important does it not.
Treasure these times, they start arguing with you sooner than you want. Still love all four of mine (21 to 14) even when they can be very trying at times. They say I'm the one that annoys them.

She is a cutie I'm sure you are proud. Good to know she is well.K.O.39062.7796759259

Makes you wonder what really happened to her Paul .

Kids have a habbit of being able give you a good fright from time to time .

She certainly is a beautiful little girl . I'm pleased all is well with her now .

Paul,

SO glad she's OK. Such a sweetheart!

Amazing how focused you can get at a time like that. Then when you can relax, that's when you fall apart. DAMHIKT.

Paul, thank God she’s ok, children can be resilient.
My youngest fell from a walk way wall about 6 feet up and landed smack dab on the back of her head on the concreat sidewalk, I though for sure she would have had some type of closed head injury, but she didn’t. We rushed her to the hospital, just like you, I was seeing things real clear and knew what had to be done, 30 minutes after arriving at the ER, she was acting as if nothing had happened

Soft skull no doubt

Any ways, It does make you pause for a moment and really really realize what those little rug rats mean to us all eh

Beautiful child by the way..

Paul, I'm so glad that she's fine. That would have freaked me out for sure.

What a delight she looks to be. Hug her often.

Thanks guys, I knew you lot would understand.

She's a little cutie for sure. She's got me wrapped around her little finger.

I guess it doesn't sound like a real big deal with her being unconcious for only a bit over a minute, but we weren't entirely sure that she'd be back at all. She still had a pulse but I had to breathe a few breaths for her. Thank god for the CPR classes. I've never been so thankful for anything as I was when she opened her eyes.

Paul, it does sound like a big thing to all of us who have or have had little children. My boys are 29 and 26 and we still worry all the time.    A parent never stops worrying and always understands the fears of other parents.
We made several trips to the emergency room with ours. Really happy that all is well and I must say that she is one beautiful girl.

Paul, thanks for sharing your story with us, it's really humbling and terrifying at the same time.

Yes, Thank God that your very cute daughter is still here today and that you were calm through it all, there must be something the Lord tells us through this, could very well be that He's telling us all how family and life is so precious, through your story...

So thanks again my friend

Serge

Paul,

So glad that all is well for sweet little . Ron put it so well when he wrote "A parent never stops worrying and always understands the fears of other parents." I have 2 girls, Ella 11 and Darci 9 and my lady and I have had our share of scary moments.

Time for you and your wife to chill out now mate and thank your lucky stars that everything is OK.

Cheers

Kim

Children! Yep they do that to you don't they? The one thing I can assure you of Paul is that it won't be the last time. They are worth it though in the end (Aren't they?) Glad she's OK, can I recommend the best medicine, a good single malt whisky, for you not her, not usually available on the national health service though.
